The Business Platinum Card® from American Express might come with a high annual fee, but it also has a whole lot of perks.

Despite the annual price tag of $695 (see rates and fees), the Amex Business Platinum card has plenty to offer — but many of the card's best benefits aren't automatic; you'll have to enroll your card to get them. Here's a quick look at what those perks are and how to register for them.

Remember, the card is also currently offering a lucrative introductory bonus where new cardholders can earn 150,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $20,000 on eligible purchases in the first three months of card membership. According to TPG's November 2024 valuations, that's worth a whopping $3,000.

Here's what else to know about the Amex Business Platinum.

Bottom line

The Amex Business Platinum Card is one of our top business cards. It's excellent, especially for businesses with expenses in the statement credit categories. While it might not be worth the money for all business owners, its travel and lifestyle perks are difficult, if not impossible, to beat.

Most of its perks, however, do need to be registered for ahead of time — a worthy investment if you plan on making the most of your new card.
